Halle B0 I Stand 105: Flex & Stretch - When electronics take on new forms.
The Fraunhofer ISC and EMFT research team is presenting prototypes of smart textiles with printed conductors, printed sensors on paper, and stretchable conductors, substrates and insulators.

At the OptecNet joint booth in hall B6 booth 339, the research team of the Center Smart Materials and Adaptive Systems CeSMA will inform you about the topic "Printed Optics", among others. Dr. Sönke Steenhusen will present advances in manufacturing technology and innovations for various printing technologies.

SAVE THE DATE: Nanotechnology is used as a key technology in numerous areas. The consideration of opportunities and risks will also be the focus of the 4th symposium. During the two-day event, topics such as the use of nanotechnology in textiles and packaging, its application in agriculture, the introduction of nanomaterials into the body and future-oriented assessment approaches will be presented. The event will be held in English.

Between June 15-18, 2022 the team from the Fraunhofer Project Center for Stem Cell Process Engineering SPT will present their innovative technologies and services in the field of induced pluripotent stem cells at the ‚ISSCR 2022 Annual Meeting‘ in San Francisco (booth 643), organized by the International Society for Stem Cell Research. There, the SPT offers solutions for upscaling validated bioprocesses for the production and preparation of high-grade stem cells and their derivatives, specifically adapting innovative materials, bioreactors, tissue engineering scaffolds and innovative, autonomous cell production and cryopreservation technologies.

At this year's analytica, we will present our developments in the area of "LAB 4.0 for Digital Life Science". In a live presentation, our research team will demonstrate the automated, non-invasive examination of tumor growth using tissue models of malignant melanomas. Our cell biological test system MediTOM as well as an automated image analysis (Image Analyzer) including digital evaluation, which transfers its data into a digital lab book, will be used.

At this year's "Techtextil", the world's leading trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, Fraunhofer ISC will be exhibiting textile-integrated elastic sensors at the joint booth of the Fraunhofer Textile Division in Hall 12.0, Booth C45.

To mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the DGG, the 26th International Congress on Glass (ICG) will be held in Berlin this year. The ICG 2022 offers plenary sessions as well as 45 technical sessions grouped into 8 symposia. As a special opportunity for glass scientists and technologists, the 13th International Congress on Advances in Melting Technology and Processing of Glass (AFPG2022) is attached to the congress in its anniversary year.

The Fraunhofer seminar on Tissue engineering will provide a compact review of the basics of tissue engineering – in terms of biology, bioprocessing and materials science. The two-day online seminar will also offer an insight into practical applications at Fraunhofer, ranging from personalized test systems to the development and approval of cell-based therapies.

At this year's "ACHEMA", the world's leading trade fair for the process industry, the Fraunhofer Alliance for the Lead Market in Chemistry, which was founded in 2021 and consists of a total of 15 Fraunhofer Institutes, including the Fraunhofer ISC, will be presenting itself. The joint booth will present current research activities in areas such as the digitization of chemical processes, the further development of green chemistry, the facilitation of scale-up, safety aspects and the efficiency of chemical processes, and the promotion of the circular economy.
