Dr. Holger Böse from the Center Smart Materials and Adaptive Systems CeSMA at Fraunhofer ISC has been invited as keynote speaker at the 1st International Conference on Advanced Smart Materials and Structures (ASMaS-2021). He will present on "Soft and Stretchable Sensor Technology Based on Electroactive Polymers".
In his keynote talk, he will introduce a relatively new class of soft elastomer sensors based on electroactive polymers. His talk will provide an overview of the sensor technology and potential applications such as monitoring pressure distribution on seats, measuring contact forces when manually grasping an object with a robotic gripper, or soft sensors as human-machine interfaces.
