FACHPACK is one of the most important European trade shows for packaging, technology and processes. This year, Dr. Victor Trapp (Sales and Marketing), Dr. Ferdinand Somorowsky (Chemical Coating Technology/bioORMOCER^®) and Prof. Dr. Karl Mandel (Particle Technology), among others, will be on site as trade visitors and will be available for discussions. They have numerous innovations from the fields of packaging and logistics in their luggage.

These include our multiple award-winning ORMOCER^® and bioORMOCER^® barrier coatings for packaging made from monomaterials for better recyclability. A wide variety of resource-saving packaging made of polymers, biopolymers or paper is possible.
On the subject of Circular Economy: our so-called "communicating particles" support recycling or make materials recyclable. They can be integrated into or onto packaging and help to record and analyze material flows, product and production data along the entire supply chain.
Such "material watermarks", in combination with digitization and artificial intelligence, enable comprehensive track & trace. Product counterfeiting, theft and packaging errors can thus be significantly reduced.
Thanks to various sensory functions (e.g. TTI), intelligent packaging for quality assurance can be created without RFID chips or similar. The "communicating particles" can combine many of these features for fully functionalized packaging.
